Unit price perI've had many requests for a sobriety coin I felt like there were many options out there and I don't like the idea of profiting from addiction. Recently I had a new friend share some personal challenges so I was inspired to design one for her son.
HOW THIS WORKS:
This coin is now holding you accountable. When you hit the next year milestone, contact us and we will replace it for free. My hope is that over the years we are losing money on these.

Anthony's story
I'm not a stranger to the addicting quality of drugs and alcohol. "Runs in the family" but I'd argue it runs in the species. Existing is a daily struggle and it's easy to look for a quick solution to numb that struggle. For most of us, it starts innocently enough with our peer group but evolves into a way to relax or a reward at the end of a hard day to a way to cope with daily struggles. The story may not be the same for everyone but it ends up being the same for everyone. To be clear, I'm not for banning anything but I do believe that drugs and alcohol are poison to the mind and body...but so is sugar and fast food. If you're the type that can have an occasional drink and have it not impact you or your loved ones negatively, go for it. I happen to be this type of person but it's a slippery slope. One drink a night for a few nights in a row and the struggle ensues so I cut myself off for weeks, if not months. I finished that sentence and walked away for a moment because I had to ask myself a question...if having a few drinks causes a problem of wanting it daily, what am I doing drinking at all? Some self reflection is in order.

I have followed J. L. Lawson & Co. for years. I love coins, they hold immense sentimental value to me. I am now on my journey of sobriety. This Sobriety coin continues to give me strength in the ashes. I carry the coin with me always. A burning ember in my hand that keeps the cold and dark away.
I am a huge fan of this store, and when I started my sobriety journey I had this stone in mind for when I finally reached one year sober. It was a tough road, but I'm still walking! The stone has a good amount of heft which my friend delightfully mentioned "it's the weight of your accomplishments!" And having that physical reminder of what I've achieved and still can achieve helps in ways I can't fit on the review section. I look forward to next celebrating 2 years, and many more to come! I own many Jllawsonco coins & pieces. This one is special. It's personal, and helps me hold myself accountable while I practice living a sober life, as I've continued to do so the past 1.5 years. A daily reminder of how far I've come, and the work that's left to be done.

I can't say enough about how happy I am with the sobriety stone. I contacted Anthony and Lisa on a Friday morning, because the night before, I learned that a good friend was voluntarily entering into rehab for his alcohol addiction the following Wedneesday. I had already given this friend a Memento Mori stone I'd received in a grab bag when he quit smoking tobacco. He's kept it in his pocket ever since. I wanted to give him a sobriety stone to take into the facility as a show of my belief and support in him. Anthony made the stone and shipped it express that day! Unfortunately the shipper did not deliver the stone before my friend went to rehab, but I printed Anthony and Lisa's personal testimonies and the explanation of the symbols on the sobriety stone, and gave those to my friend on the night before he self-admitted. I told him the coin will be waiting for you when I see you again. He is thankful and grateful and so am I. I love this company and the people who run it. Thanks y'all.

Along with all of the other coins that I’ve had the pleasure of owning from this company, I will truly cherish this one. I was overly satisfied with the amount of detail and design that went in to this. You never truly know what your addictions are until they take control over your life. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to take back control of my own life before it was too late.
