This is another collaboration with my wife and, to be quite honest, I'd never heard of 4, 7, 8 breathing until she brought it to my attention. I have, however, been doubling my exhale in times of stress for years. I do it countless times a day. Any time I get that heavy feeling in my chest, I take a deep breath and slowly exhale. Game changer.

Amor fati is a Latin phrase that may be translated as "love of fate" or "love of one's fate". It is used to describe an attitude in which one sees everything that happens in one's life, including suffering and loss, as good or, at the very least, necessary.

Personally, I'm not a fan of seeing everything as "good". I believe the words "good" and "bad" are misleading when it comes to the natural course of life. I like to think of it as understanding that both "good" and "bad" are necessary in order to have one or the other. Without bad...there is no good. In my experience, with this line of thinking, you can truly appreciate the "bad", as you know that it has to peak at a certain point and start to evolve into "good". 

I find that I need this reminder on a daily basis...

Your beads will come with a couple of string options that you can cut to desired length.  Folks have different tastes on length of string.  I've found that it's best to start a little longer and work your way down if you like but I'm not expert.  In fact...I'm pretty horrible at it but it's extremely addicting and satisfying once you get a little flipping going.

Decision Makers are fun and I'll keep making them but the reality is you already know what choice you want to make but you're likely paralyzed by the fear of making the wrong decision. We all have an extremely tough decision to make this year but, as always, I'm here to help. I wasn't able to watch the entire debate on 6/27 but I was able to catch one of the most important segments...who has the better golf game. Now, I don't know much about golf so I have no idea which is better, a six handicap or being a 2x club champ. I also tried to verify these claims but came up short.
