Inspired by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, this coin depicts figures who have spent their entire existence watching shadows on a wall, believing them to be reality. Only by turning away and stepping into the light do they discover how much more lies beyond what they thought they knew.

Rendered here as skeletons, the imagery adds another layer: how long can we spend staring at shadows without ever questioning them?

This design goes back around 25 years to a dream I had. It's not an original concept but, 25 years later, the dream sticks with me so it's probably time to share the imagery. I think that the closer I come to returning to that universal consciousness, the more I want to share the images that haunt me on a daily basis.

Remembering is a meditation on the nature of existence. Like a drop drawn from an infinite ocean, consciousness experiences life as an individual before returning to the greater whole. The flowing currents and hidden droplets represent the eternal cycle of departure, experience, and reunion—a reminder that we are never truly separate from our source.

The Sapien Stone is an EDC worry coin and the story of us starting with our hunter/gatherer ancestors that slowly evolved into agriculturists who then catapulted into our modern world.

The "worry/concave" side of the coin is engraved with the Flower of Life. This symbol represents the cycle of life and is thousands of years old. It can be found in a variety of cultures throughout the world and has been studied and used by creators for centuries. The Flower of Life symbol contains the essence of everything in existence. All other geometric forms are found within it, including the Platonic Solids, Metatron’s Cube, and the Merkaba. Essentially it represents creation, and is the basic blueprint for all consciousness, and all that exists is based upon.

Survive. Thrive. Create...always cyclical and constantly evolving. It's not that one follows the other. All three work together and create balance.
