"Worrying is like paying a debt you don't owe"
Our Worry Coin is minted from solid metal in the U. S.
Available in Bronze, Copper, blackened Iron & .999 Silver.
Mokume version is limited and will vary in patter from coin to coin.
Blackened Iron version does not have reeding (little lines) on the edge. Iron is too hard to make this happen but we think it works without in this case.
Approximately 1.25" diameter
Solid Silver option is 1 troy ounce.
The most remarkable thing about this favorite quote of mine is the simplicity and truth behind it. We worry almost constantly and there's nothing in this world saying that we have to. It doesn't change anything or fix the problem, but we do it anyway. We constantly pull from our bank of emotions and hormones to pay for this debt that doesn't exist.
A few years ago, I started manually machining various types of Worry Coins. They vary in metals, woods and sizes. Last year I had the idea that I'd laser engrave this quote into a coin but it was missing something and made these hand made coins even more expensive. I really wanted to be able to offer a more affordable version of a Worry Coin with this quote but, at the time, was not aware of Shire Post Mint's ability to create a concave surface on one side, so I shelved the project. A few months later, I saw what they could do with a coin so reached out to my favorite designer, Mike Major, and got to work. I couldn't be happier with the result. The size, weight, design and cost are the perfect balance and I'm sure you will enjoy.

I'd been eyeing this coin for months, and I'm glad I finally got it. I wish it were a little bigger, but that's just preference. The weight and finish are excellent, and the concave side feel great for rubbing. I was also blown away by the packaging, some of the nicest I've seen for any product let alone a worry coin.
I really like the coin. However I didn't know it would have a patina wash. I don't think the description mentioned that and would be nice to have an option to order one without. Otherwise nicely weighted and beautifully made.
I love my coin. I ordered the wrong one and they worked with me to send the correct one very fast. They were very helpful and made sure I was happy with my purchase!
I found that for my husband and my 7th wedding Anniversary (7th is copper, wool and onyx). He already keeps a small stash of coins that are meaningful to him, so what better gift - a copper worry stone. Needless to say, he LOVED it, and we will be purchasing from you again!!
My wife probably thought I was nuts paying $34 for a coin, but I absolutely love this thing. I fiddle with it more than any of the other "fidget" things I've collected combined, plus it travels easy. It's got great hand-feel, it's a neat conversation starter, and it works as a card protector when playing poker. I know there are dimensions listed, but to give you a visual - it's a little bigger than a (US) quarter and about as thick as 3 quarters stacked. Already considering ones for gifts or what my next personal purchase might be.
Just got mine today and I gotta say, it’s awesome. Right when I pulled it out of the packaging I instantly noticed the quality and the care that went into making it. It’s pretty thick and a little hefty which I like. I purchased the one in bronze and it feels great in hand. It’s a very inexpensive worry coin compared to everyone else it seems but the quality is just as good if not a little better. It’s a great piece and would recommend to anyone looking for one.
Thanks!!!
I purchased this coin for my Husband's 35th b-day and he absolutely LOVED it!! He carries it everyday. I also have to give a HUGE shoutout to Anthony who personally went out of his way to make sure that I got this coin in time for my hubby's bday - despite the fact that I waited till the last minute to order it. This is one of those great companies that are becoming harder to come by these days. What a jewel... THANK YOU Anthony!!
Growing up my mother used to use worry stones- just flat smooth stones she could find on the beach. My grandfather taught her to rub them when she was worried, and she in turn taught me. This beautiful little coin totally fits the bill and is a nice way for me to think about her when times get tough. Thank you for creating such a beautiful, enduring product.
I like how it feels in the hand and because of its shape you can fiddle with it. I like the message which resonates a lot with me. I have a connection with copper. I’ll be purchasing other products as they become available. Especially the ring.
I love this coin and for awhile I had it in my car and would grab it when I remembered it was there but then I had to send my car to the shop so its been locked away in my safe and I haven't pulled it back out due to me not wanting to toss it in my pocket and ruin it/loose it haha, just to nice of a coin to ding it up and scratch. it doesn't cost to much for me to care like I do since I just bought a copper beta qrv2 flash light and that thing was double this and thats hooked up to my keychain. but then again I bought that to ding up this coin and many products I've bought over the years from Lawson have been collector peace's to me due to the high quality of everything he release. maybe oneday ill get another coin just to throw in my pocket but for now its in the safe like everything else!!
I have all three (from a crowd funding site a while back) and also bought an extra to give to my brother (I found that I tend to do that with things from this site). If you like having a coin in your pocket these won't disappoint, they are hefty so you won't forget it is there and the finish/design is amazing. Keep up the good work.
When I saw the Kickstarter campaign for Anthony's worry coin collaboration with Shire Post, I knew I had to back it and am so glad that I did. I love the message about worrying, a Mark Twain quote, right? Because I've always been one who worries about way too many things. I got two coins, a copper, and a brass. I always keep one with me, to remind me not to worry.
Besides the great message, you also get a great worry coin. Good size and nicely thick, so it has a real presence in your hand. Then, the flip side is wonderfully concaved and feels great to hold and rub your thumb and fingers on. A great coin to fidget with.
If you haven't gotten one yet, please do. You'll be glad that you did.
Thanks, Anthony and Shire Post!
I have just received my copper and bronze worry coins and they are fantastic! The coins are a great size and weight. They feel really good in the hand.
Really like it, thanks Anthony.
