A message from Lisa regarding the inspiration for this one:
San Clemente is a small coastal town, famous for its surf.
In most local surf shops, you will find a display of St. Christopher pendants hanging on simple ball chain in a variety of colors.
They are a familiar symbol of the town.
Years ago, I purchased three of those pendants.
During that time, my daughters and I were separated under painful circumstances.
For months, our visits were limited, and every goodbye was heartbreaking as we waited for the truth to come to light.
I needed something tangible. Something we could each wear close to our hearts. Something we could touch when we missed each other.
Something that reminded us our bond had not been broken.
Every time we had to say goodbye, we would kiss our pendants and carry that connection with us.
Those necklaces became more than jewelry, they became a quiet promise.
A way of saying, I am with you. You are with me. We will find our way back safely.
Eventually, that chapter closed, the truth came forward, and my daughters and I were reunited.
We tucked those pendants safely away, but their meaning never left us.
They had carried us through what they were meant to carry us through.
St. Christopher has long been known as the protector of travelers, a symbol of safe passage, protection, and being carried through the unknown.
At that time in my life, that meaning became deeply personal. We were not traveling in the traditional sense, but we were moving through something uncertain, painful, and life-changing.
We needed protection. We needed faith. We needed something to hold onto.
That season became part of the heart behind the Passing Coin, the idea that an object can carry meaning, memory, protection, and connection.
Anthony helped me bring that idea into the physical world: a piece you can hold, carry, or wear when you need to feel grounded, protected, and connected to the people you love.
This St. Christopher pendant was created in that same spirit.
For safe passage.
For protection through the unknown.
For the people we carry with us, wherever life takes us.
