Thoughtcrime is a word coined by George Orwell in his 1949 dystopian novel 1984. It describes a person's politically unorthodox thoughts, such as unspoken beliefs and doubts that contradict the tenets of Ingsoc (English Socialism), the dominant ideology of Oceania. In the official language of Newspeak, the word crimethink describes the intellectual actions of a person who entertains and holds politically unacceptable thoughts; thus the government of the Party controls the speech, the actions and the thoughts of the citizens of Oceania. In contemporary English usage, the word thoughtcrime describes beliefs that are contrary to accepted norms of society, and is used to describe theological concepts, such as disbelief and idolatry, and the rejection of an ideology.
If you don't make a choice, life will do it for you.
Decision Makers are fun and I'll keep making them but the reality is you already know what choice you want to make but you're likely paralyzed by the fear of making the wrong decision. This little "worry" coin will remind you to go with your gut and move forward with confidence. Make the decision and do what needs to be done to make it the right one. It's to help you change your paradigm! I'm getting old.
I have limiting beliefs about money...this coin is a daily reminder to shift my paradigm about it.

My dad passed away from multiple cancers in 2018. In early 2018, I machined a "worry coin" for him and stamped Fuck cancer on it. He'd carry it with him during his chemo. I shared it with folks who then expressed interest so I had this more affordable version minted by my friends at Shire Post Mint so I could give them away. In 2019 I gave away almost 1000 of these coins but it got to be too time consuming and costly to do so I shelved the project for the time being. I'm not sure why it took me so long to come up with this idea as it seems pretty obvious.
I'll cover the cost of the coin if you can cover the cost of shipping. I don't mind folks getting more than one if they have a good place for them but please just be respectful and not wasteful but don't be shy! I want you guys to have and share these so please don't feel guilty about taking them for free.
